Feudalism explained

Having already tackled the basic structure of social hierarchy present in Europe during the 14th century under Feudalism, Elementary 2 took things a step further by expanding on each social class; highlighting their roles and power within the structure. The only one they left out were the peasantry who had no real power to speak of. At least that is what the students think so far. History is all about unearthing stories from the past and this rabbit hole still has further to go.

Some lessons ago…

Elementary 2 were taken back to a time where European democracy did not exist and society was divided into a hierarchy where the land belonged to the king who answered to nobody but the pope. It was called Feudalism and was certainly a far cry away from what we have today in Europe.
